"Miracle Girl" Leaves ICU!

1Cor. 15:57 ...but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
There is so much on our hearts! God continues to flood our days with grace. Again, we thank you all for your faithful prayers! Here are some of the headlines...
Jody has successfully transitioned out of ICU. Praise the Lord! Thank you Abba, for allowing Jody "yet to remain on" after being so close to heaven. We give You the glory for this incredible development. We are in a new room on a new floor at the hospital - and Jody is resting comfortably after a huge morning. She has been painfully short of breath - but after a procedure on her left lung (thoracentisis #5) she finally has some relief! Praise to Jesus! This relief allowed her to eat her breakfast, lunch and dinner with relative ease. Oh how we take so much for granted! She is sleeping so much better as I type this.
Jody has chosen to fight on. This means we must pursue a far more aggressive treatment path - but we believe that the Lord has led us here in His perfect timing. The treatment will be risky. Please pray for the Lord to *protect* my sweet angel's body as we go forward into the realm of cytotoxic therapies. The goal is to stop the disease that is irritating her heart and lungs, thereby eliminating the accumulation of fluid.
For Your name's sake You will lead us and guide us. God's purposes are perfect and cannot be thwarted. We have seen tremendous blessing and purpose in all that He has allowed us to go through. The future will be no different. His love for Jody surpasses all of ours - and He knows perfectly what is best for her. We will yet trust Him! He is full of Grace, Truth, Power, Wisdom, Honor and Glory!
O may Your glorious name be blessed And exalted above all blessing and praise! You alone are the LORD. You have made the heavens, The heaven of heavens with all their host, The earth and all that is on it, The seas and all that is in them. You give life to all of them And the heavenly host bows down before You.

As Dan and I sat in HIS chemo room today, the nurses ask how "Annie's sister" is doing. Everyone in the doctor's office has been checking in with us about you. My prayer is that God watches over your process. I do see God using every part of this. Look at the lives God has brought so much closer to himself.
Annie and I are holding you up morning and night.

Great to hear that Jody left the ICU!! and that she is now resting comfortably. These are wonderful answers to prayer. We will continue to pray that God protects her and leads you both as she begins this new treatment.BTW, Marty came in and said that they prayed for Jody tonight at the monthly ECHO meeting at church.

To God be the glory. He never ceases to amaze.
Thanks for all the faithful updates Scott. I constantly refresh the page hoping to read new news and know how to pray more effectively. You and Jody are such a testimony.

Dear Jody and Scott,

LOVE, Brother Jim...
I will be looking forward to seeing you soon, am "shooting" for sometime next week.
Thank you, Scott and Jody...I am a member at Grace and know of you thru music, and was privileged to hear Jody and Logan at the Women's Conf.
Of course, your faithfulness to Our Most High is blessing Christians everywhere! You are bringing such honor and glory to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Your expressions of love and devotion to Him, and to your lovely wife, is such a testimony! Thank you for this gift of love to all of us. I stand in awe, and feel so privileged to read your hour by hour trust in Him.
I will continue to hold you up in prayer, as the Lord continues to do His Work.
Thanking Him now for your 'new' room and that Jody continues to rest more comfortably. May He give you grace upon grace in the upcoming procedures.

I'm so glad to hear of the improvement. This (or any) kind of illness really highlights what's important in life. While Jody has to fight for every breath, many people are spending millions just trying to look younger through plastic surgery and rigorous exercise. Maybe Jody told you this trial is like a big, magnifying pair of reality glasses, allowing her and all who are bearing her burden in prayer or any other way, to see what is eternal and meaningful, and what is only temporal, ephemeral, a vapor and a disillusion.
Dear Scott and Jody,
All praise to Our Lord Jesus Christ who always leads us in His Triumph. We are rejoicing in your victory. You are the quintessential Christ like couple. Thank you for allowing us the previledge of praying with you and seeing the Grace and Glory of the Lord around about you. We are so thankful for you. We will continue to pray for you dear ones of the Lord. God loves us.

My first blog entry in the history of the blog universe. And what a glorious time to dive in--Jody, I am continuing to think of you daily while teaching here in Sicily and to lift you to our Wonderful Savior in prayer. From a fellow "saint in the light" who loves you and Scott deeply.
