Romans 8:18, and Update 9/30/06
Update, Saturday 10:30
My beloved is with Jesus. Thank you for your love and prayers. The details of her memorial service will be posted when they are known. Jesus Christ is my Lord, and I love Him, and thank Him for the grace He showed us as my sweet Jody gracefully went to "where we will go from here", to meet the Rose of Sharon, the Son of Man, Holy God, where there is fullness of joy and pleasures forever, no more tears, no more pain, worshipping in perfection in Heaven, where she has worshipfully longed to be.
1Cor. 15:50-58 Now I say this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality. But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written,

Rom. 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
Dear Ones,
This will need to be a basic straightforward post. Please know that Jody reads or hears everything you mail, post or email. It has strengthened us in ways you cannot imagine!
There is a gathering of family and friends at the St. Joseph's Burbank ICU waiting room - it is on the second floor and you are most welcome to check in there to fellowship and pray. I will come by and give updates as I am able.
Jody is comfortable and resting- yet it appears that she is approaching the final phase of her earthly time with us. It seems - as with so many aspects of our precious life together, that we have been in rehearsal today. Rehearsing our love, our faith, our future - and have been in the Word of God throughout the day focusing on heaven. We always savor the thought of worship in the heavenlies - and the joy of eternally participating! And with no sin! Hallelujah to the Lamb!
Rev. 4:2-11 Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne was standing in heaven, and One sitting on the throne. And He who was sitting was like a jasper stone and a sardius in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald in appearance. Around the throne were twenty-four thrones; and upon the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white garments, and golden crowns on their heads. Out from the throne come flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder. And there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God; and before the throne there was something like a sea of glass, like crystal; and in the center and around the throne, four living creatures full of eyes in front and behind. The first creature was like a lion, and the second creature like a calf, and the third creature had a face like that of a man, and the fourth creature was like a flying eagle. And the four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within; and day and night they do not cease to say,

"Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created."We thank God for His merciful love. There are no words I can write at this time that will express how God has been answering prayer after prayer on our behalf. We are grateful to all of you for praying for us and for all of the multitude of helps - God knows - and I *know* He will richly bless you all! Thank you, each and every one of you - so very very much.

Dearest Scott and Jody,
It is in times like this that God's comfort and grace stop being mere words and become reality. We have seen this over and over in your life as you have walked thru this trial. We see it now as you continue to put your trust wholly in Him and accept His will.
We love you both and are praying for you.

"Hallelujah, thank you Jesus our Redeemer
Hallelujah, so worthy to recieve
Power, wisdom, glory, honor and might,
For in the Son of His love we are saints in the light".
Jody, you blessed us with this beautiful illumination of scripture by way of your precious God-given gift of music. So moving, so powerful a melody, such an amazing anthem of His glory and His love for us through the gift of our Savior Jesus, our Redeemer. And such a beautiful refrain. I have held this one close to my heart since the day it was revealed to me. It is a gift to all from the Most High Himself through you, His willing vessel and is one that will not perish. Thank you for hearing Him, that we may share it again now.
Please know in your heart that I am continually blessed by the ministry of your life. By the way you have chosen to glorify Him with your every day. By way of your graceful witness to us all, even in the face of such severe trials. My prayers for His peace, His comfort and His strength are with you and your loving husband Scott right at this moment, have been and continue to be. My heart is breaking.
Hallelujah, thank you Jesus our Redeemer, so worthy to be praised.
What a testimony to God's grace in your lives! May He be glorified in you. Our prayers have been with you often, as well as so many at GCC who love you both. Clayton called this morning at 6:00 a.m. and is on his way over. May you enjoy the sweet fellowship of the saints, and draw God's comfort in trouble.
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Romans 5:1-2

Love & prayers for you Jody & Scott (you both are very precious). - Aunt Debbie
Dear Scott & Jody,
Words can not describe my sorrow for you , but also my joy that you both depply depend on and trust the Living God who was, and is, and is to come. I will continue to humbly approach the throne of our God on behalf of you both. God be with you both, and to Bonnie as well
Jody,
what a blessing it is to have met you, work for you & Scott, fellowship with you, laugh with you and have you pray for my father for so many faithful years. The fingerprints you leave on so many people around you is a testament to your love for God and for others. I continue to pray for all of God's perfect grace and sustaining strength for you and Scott.
"For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen."
With much love,
judy & richard
Dear Scott and Jody,
Your testimony throughout this time has been so faithful, encouraging, and such an honor to our great God and Savior. May His grace, peace, strength and comfort be continually multiplied to you in the present hour. Jody, the loveliness of the melody and harmony in the songs you have composed to praise the Holy One will always be a testimony to His grace and your devotion to Him, and they have enriched us all as well. I continue to pray for you both.
Love,
Tom D.
What a love story you are sharing with us, Scott and Jody...how much better we love God and His plan and how much better we love those we live with during this temporal life, because you have been an example and a light and a song of praise in all of your actions. My tears alternate between sadness and joy and that is because my flesh and my spirit still fight, but one thing is sure, as Paul said to the Corinthians:
"...knowing that He who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and will present us with you. For all things are for your sakes, so that the grace which is spreading to more and more people may cause the giving of thanks to abound to the glory of God. Therefore, we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary , light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at things which are seen; for the things that are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal." II Cor 4:14-18
If you should see the 'unseen things' before I do, I will comfort myself with the knowledge that you are certainly going to be singing about them... and I look forward to seeing them with you someday.

When I think of believers who are trusting in the Lord I think of you and Jody! Carole and I and the kids are lifting you up before our gracious Lord! Trust me, around the Outreach office, we are all praying for you too! The missionaries are praying for you and thinking of you often! What a blessing you have both been to the missionaries! What a blessing you are to our church!
In Christ,

Scott and Jody: What a blessing and privilege your "blog" has been...I look at your site, as often as I can, to see how you are doing and how to pray...this site is continually supplying me with great Adoration to the Lord. Your love for each other and seeing how you are trusting the Lord with EVERYTHING,is such amazing grace. "...setting your affections on things above..." a great testimony and you are, indeed, touching more lives than you can know!
I am comforted in the fact that you are feeling His presence in very special ways.
God bless you both!!
Love in Christ, pat from grace comm church
With grateful tears I thank you both for showing us how to live---how to put aside the things that don't really matter in this short life---and how to WORSHIP God through ANY TRAIL.
I cannot help but think of Jody as Christ's beautiful bride, dressed in her spotless gown of righteousness, as she awaits for her Bridegroom to call her to His home.
Though it is hard for many
to "give the bride away",
the peace the Bridegroom gives, sustains us 'till the day
when our Redeemer calls us to a
wedding of our own.
Then running swift to meet us
Jody will call "Welcome Home!"
Because of Him,
Sherri Crawford
Dear Scott, We join you in your sorrow; our hearts ache for you and we also feel this sorrow ourselves. What a wonderful treasure--Jody. Thank you for sharing your lives with us through your praises and prayers. Truly you have walked with the Lord here on earth and today Jody continues her walk of faith with our Lord. We surround you with our prayers and with our love from Santa Maria. We send love from all the Doupes and Ways.

No words can adequately express my thoughts and feelings.
Obviously this is a bittersweet time.
Thank you for being such a shining example of the reality of the gospel, and of Christ.

We are so saddened to hear of Jody's departure from this world. We grieve with you, Scott, as you must bear this indescribable loss. We have been so blessed through your blog as we have seen your great love for our Great God, our Great God's love and care for you and your tender love for one another. May our gracious Lord keep you continually wrapped in His loving arms, and may He speak tender words of comfort to your soul. Jody is in the presence our Lord. Glory be to our Great God.
The Ellers love you and are praying for you.

Tears are for the living. My sweet, wonderful sister Jody is gazing on the face of God even as I write this. What greater gift could she receive in exchange for her devotion? There is no greater gift! All praise to our Creator! And blessings on you, dear Scotty.

Oh Lord,Help us all on this side of Heaven to be as fruitful as our dear sister Jody.May our lives reflect the cross as you Lord place in front of us the many(Luke13:24)

Scott & Jody:
Father forgive us, for wanting to keep Jody with us longer. Your Glory is far, far, better than this world. It is right to keep our eyes toward Heaven. Forgive us for the times we have thought, and did more so called "important things" instead of focusing on Our Home in Heaven. The only thing better is to have us all go together at the same time but you get to go first, for your time has been fulfilled. Jody, you have been FAITHFUL.

Scott,
We just received the news of Jody's promotion to glory. Pamela and my mother (who is visiting) and I have all shed tears with you as we listened again to our favorite Scott and Jody song, "Heaven is a Place."
Jody has been granted her heart's desire to be with her Lord Jesus.
We are praying for you brother.

Dear Scott, I can only remind you-as I remind myself-what a blessing you've been given in being chosen by God before time to be one of His, and He has placed you in a church that loves you dearly, and will definately be praying fervently for His comfort and strength to be with you mightily.
I'm sure that God above is enjoying Jody's praise, accompanied by dear old Mr.Buttons.
Scott-
I want you know how much you and Jody have meant to me and my family and all of Mainstream over the years. Your ministry of God- honoring and uplifting worship continually brings us into His presence and is always to His glory and honor. Your life and your love for each other testified to God’s grace and His power. Your faithfulness to the Body of Christ is both a challenge and an encouragement to all who know you. Thank you for allowing us to walk with you through this trial and for providing us with a means to express our love to you and Jody.
Each of us has our own special memories of Jody-some more than others-but she touched so many lives in so many ways! Her life, her love for her Savior, and her music are a legacy that points us to Christ and we are all “richer” for having known her! We commit to upholding you in prayer Scott, trusting that “…the Father of mercies and God of all comfort who comforts us in all our tribulation…” will strengthen and bless you with His tender mercies.
You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy,
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11
World Without End
By Jody and Scott Frankfurt
I am a pilgrim on a highway to Zion,
I walk in His mercy, I live in His light.
My home is in Glory, and someday I'll be there
Where He's waiting for me, and shining so bright.
There'll be fulness of joy,
And pleasures forever.
There'll be fulness of joy (in Thy presence),
And pleasures forever (in Thy right hand).
In a World Without End
I keep my mind on that place
In another space and time,
A World Without End
I keep my eyes on that day
We'll be with Him in paradise.
He said I would suffer, but He'd never leave me,
His love is amazing like I've never known.
I know that someday this trial will be over,
I'll be with my Savior and finally home.
Soli Deo Gloria
Mike and Ann O’Neill

I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; Be strong, and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord.
--Psalm 27:13-14
Amen to Romans 8:18.
Dear Scott and Family,
Our hearts ACHE for you and our prayers will continue.

II CORINTHIANS 5:16-18:
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are NOT seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal."
PSALM 27:13-14:
I would have lost heart, UNLESS I had believed that I would see the GOODNESS OF THE LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; be of GOOD COURAGE, and HE shall STRENGTHEN YOUR HEART; wait, I say, on the Lord!"
Scott,
I just wanted to take a moment to share my heart with you. I have been following the progress on the blog, but have not yet written a comment. My wife Trina and I have been praying for you and Jody through these trials. Trina was one of the many ladies that was blessed with the opportunity to see Jody's example at the last few retreats. Likewise, I have been truly blessed beyond measure to see the love that you and Jody shared, not only through this time, but in your whole lives as you ministered to so many with your wonderful music. I can only pray that God would give Trina and I the kind of love that you and Jody have so beautifully exampled.
We share in the praise that Jody is now with her beloved Lord, and no doubt hearing the words "Well done though good and faithful servant" May God continue to strengthen and bless you Scott, and again thank you for sharing you heart and great example of precious love between a husband and wife with all of us.
In His Love,
Bryan & Trina Kortcamp
Dear Scott,
We are praying for you. We can only imagine Jody now in the presence of God, her faith has finally become sight, and is enjoying perfect fellowship with her Savior.
You both have touched our lives through your music and love for us, missionaries. The conference will never be the same without you and Jody leading the worship. It has always been the highlight for us. You both blessed us more than you'll ever know.
Praying for you,

Dear Scott: I was reading a commentary today about 'heaven' and thought about the Pure Joy that Jody is experiencing, right now.
fortunecity.com/victorian/statue/86/egloryofheaven.htm
To family and friends of Jody,
My deepest condolences to you, but I hope you find comfort in the thought that she is with her maker, and that this loss is only temporary - and you will all be reunited in time.
Dear Scott,
Nothing happens by chance. The Lord made Jody to teach us how to worship Him, gave you a remarkable marriage to teach the rest of us about our marriage to Christ, and took her from us as a promise to us of what we have to look forward to one day. Everything in your lives speaks to the Holy One, and we pray He would be greatly exalted by Jody's life, a mere shadow of the joy to come, and by the example you two set, a foreshadowing of unimagineable delight.
We just learned of Jody's homegoing today...you two were on my mind today, and I wondered how it was going with you.
Our prayers are for you as you miss your beloved. His Peace be with you, brother.
For His Glory Alone,
Oliver and Lisa Hellwig,
and our seven blessings, too
